Blueado’s m5e Media Center PC

Blueado m5e
The company Blueado has announced it’s newest Media Center PC called m5e. The machine measures just 4.2 x 8 x 12-inches and is powered by a low-voltage Intel Pentium M to keep noise and powerconsumption down.
The further specs are:
  • 1GB RAM
  • 200GB of storage
  • Built-in DVD burner
  • TV-tuner
  • Dolby Digital Audio out in 5.1, DTS Digital Audio in 5.1/6.1 and 7.
  • Front-mounted USB 2.0 and FireWire connections
  • 7-input card reader
  • S-Vid, DVI, VGA and Standard Video outs.

You can get one now for $1,500.

Whether Intels VIIV technology is used or not, the market of media centric computers seems to be growing strongly and a small form factor and good design is a key to succes. I’m quite curious what Apple is going to do to compete in this market. The new Mac mini is going to tell us more about Apples strategy…
I guess Apple has an advantage with their relations to content providers and their strong brand value. On the other hand Microsoft has lots of cash and 95% of the OS market.
Let the battle begin!
